You DON'T have to put in so much effort in just one work - | Finished NOT Perfect

Finished NOT Perfect

Let’s repeat what I just said: “FINISHED NOT PERFECT”.

Think of the situation where you've completed writing an essay or just finished a drawing. And, the day before you’re going to turn in your essay to your teacher or share your art with the world through social media, one thing surely strikes in your mind: “Is this good enough to be shown?”, “It’s not that good as others”, “Is this up to the mark?” And, what ends up happening is that, you either don’t submit it or, if you’re midway through it, you don’t proceed to finish it.

This is the reason why we get bored, procrastinate and grow hate towards a particular task. So, follow this mantra: “Finished Not Perfect”

If you want to do something, then just START IT! And most importantly, FINISH IT! Because, what the world needs is people, who can FINISH things! No one cares if it’s perfect or not. Perfection comes gradually. The great artists whom you see on social media, were NOT born perfect, they practiced for years and decades, to reach there. So, there is no point in comparing yourself, who just started drawing three months ago (Lol, it’s me…), with someone who has been practicing art for the last decade. So, START WRITING that novel of yours, or make a drawing or write a poem, which you’ve longed to write for a long time, instead of thinking “Am I good enough to do it?” Most importantly, FINISH IT! I guarantee you, when you finish it, you’ll get an unmeasurable amount of satisfaction like never before. For example, the blogs you are reading right now. I was also procrastinating a lot before starting… Well… After I began, I’m totally with the flow now!

Don’t worry about perfection… It will come over time! So, don’t spend all of your energy in just perfecting one thing but rather, start and finish many things and you are sure to improve without a doubt!

So… JUST START IT. And most importantly, FINISH IT!

Here are some of my 'Finished NOT Perfect' drawings :

Thanks to one of my favorite artists Jake Parker for introducing me to this important concept!

That's it for today...

Have a great day!
